Erick Osores, journalist from América Televisón, has been suspended from his duties at América Televisión due to discriminatory comments against departmental leaders of the FPF in his program Futboleros 2.0, which was condemned by the Defensoría del Pueblo.
Departmental leagues and viralized in social media.
"I made a mistake, I want to be strong as always, but I made a big mistake. I wanted to help with the issue of stereotypes and I destroyed them. I tried to rebel against it and I did it wrong. I stereotyped them and said things that are offensive and I only offer my apologies," said the host of América Tv, tearfully.
A few hours earlier, the Defensoría del Pueblo had condemned the actions of the press man. "We condemn discriminatory messages from journalist Erick Osores, which may constitute the crime of discrimination. Journalists and media must fulfill the constitutional mandate to contribute to citizen education and not promote prejudices and degrading stereotypes," the entity said on Twitter.

América Televisión made the measure official through a statement "We inform that we have taken disciplinary actions regarding Mr. Erick Osores and we reaffirm our commitment to respect the rights of all and non-discrimination," reads the statement.
Erick Osores made these comments on the program Futboleros 2.0 that he broadcasts from his social networks. "Since they are little cholitos who cannot defend themselves, disheveled, who put on a green suit with a blue shirt and who are ill-mannered, who do not have the level of having arrived as First Division people... they are people without level, if you want," expressed the communicator in his attempt to illustrate the image of the directors.
