After investigating Lozano: Los Chankas denies having received money improperly.

The last weekend, a report by Panorama revealed new hidden expenses and payments made by Agustin Lozano, president of the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), to clubs in the Liga 2, with the aim of having them as his political allies in the decisions he makes within the Federation. One of the most striking cases was that of Los Chankas, recently promoted to Liga 1 Betsson. According to the report, the team from Andahuaylas had access to S/ 2,013,315, with 2021 and 2022 being the years in which they received the most money. After this information was released, the team from Apurimac published a statement denying having received money improperly and stating that it is willing to provide any information requested by the authorities.

Los Chankas, which was promoted to the First Division last week after beating Alianza Universidad 3-2 on penalties, explained on Monday that the subsidies they have received in recent years are part of a program from the FPF. "The amount reported by the media corresponds to the 4 years that the club received the subsidy because it remained in the top positions of the championship," they pointed out initially.
