Qualifying for Qatar 2022 will be played with a new fixture

The fixture will take place on December 3rd of this year

The same day, the fixture for the 2020 Copa America, which will be jointly hosted by Argentina and Colombia, will also be announced.

The Peruvian national team under Ricardo Gareca's leadership

will once again participate in the qualifiers, as well as the fourth Copa America.

In the previous edition held in Brazil in 2019, Peru achieved its best placement, finishing in second place after losing to the host in the final.

The Copa America will be held for the second consecutive year,

as FIFA has determined that both the Eurocup and the Copa America will take place during the same period,

so that no competition coincides with the World Cup.
