Raul Jimenez: Facing Portugal at the Confederations Cup will be special
Mexico and Benfica striker Raul Jimenez has accepted that facing Portugal in the 2017 Confederations Cup will be a unique challenge, as he will be up against both his club teammates and frequent opponents in the Primeira Liga.
"It will be special. I will be playing against three of my club teammates and many other players that I face every year," acknowledged Jimenez in an interview with FIFA.
"I think it will be a highly competitive match and if we want to win, we must keep their top scorers well marked."
The attacker also highlighted the players from the Portuguese selection that he admires the most.
"I really like how (Raphael) Guerreiro plays as a fullback. My teammate Pizzi as well," he pointed out.
"And then there are the three up front: Cristiano, of course; Nani and Quaresma too. They are very skillful and can change games just like that."
For Jimenez, facing Cristiano Ronaldo does not generate any fear, on the contrary, it gives him an extra motivation.
"We know he is a great player. But we are also a great team and I am sure we can stop him," he added.
