Almost two months have passed since Andrés Andrade underwent knee surgery after an injury he suffered during one of Alianza Lima's training sessions. Since then, his recovery process has been accelerating over time, filling the fans of the team with hope, who are eager to see the 'Rifle' in action again. While that feeling is shared by the athlete, he recently gave some insight into the time it would still take for him to return to the field.

"It's a six to seven-month recovery process. I would be ready for the next tournament," stated the Colombian midfielder after Alianza Lima's victory over Unión Comercio, in an interview with Liga 1 Max.

On the other hand, Andrés Andrade confirmed that the topic of his renewal with Alianza Lima has not yet been discussed (his contract ends at the end of the current season), although he remains hopeful about extending the contract that would allow him to have his revenge with the national team.

"We have to wait for the renewal. The executives can discuss that, I just want to recover. As of now, I see myself continuing in the club, but we'll see how it goes," added the athlete of the blanquiazul team.

Alianza Lima's Schedule with Title Aspirations

Alianza Lima-finished matchday 13 against Unión Comercio- is currently in third position in the Clausura Tournament of Liga 1 Betsson, with 26 points. After defeating the 'Poderoso', they are level at the top with Universitario and Sporting Cristal. Their upcoming matches are: Mannucci (A), Melgar (H), Binacional (A), ADT (H), and Garcilaso (A).

It is important to remember that if the blanquiazul team wins the Clausura, they will be declared national champions, as they also won the Apertura. If they do not achieve this, but remain among the top two in the accumulated standings, they will qualify for the final. The same could happen with Sporting Cristal or Universitario if they win the Clausura and maintain their position among the leaders of the accumulated table.
