A new final is approaching for Alianza Lima, who will have to go to the Monumental on Saturday, November 4th (8:00 p.m.) to play against Universitario de Deportes, since coach Mauricio Larriera would go to the crema enclosure without the presence of a team leader by technical decision.
PUEDES VER: The referee's name for the first final between Universitario vs. Alianza Lima was revealed.
As it is known, Alianza Lima has recovered several injured players for this final, such as Carlos Zambrano, Franco Zanelatto, Pablo Sabbag, and Cristian Benavente; however, there is a player from the squad who may be left out of the crema duel.
This player is Christian Cueva. Larriera's coaching staff considered that, for now, the midfielder is not at 100% of his physical abilities and would not contribute in a sporting sense in the first final.
Despite training normally, his knee problem prevents him from performing better on the field. With three days to go, 'Aladino' is out of the final. If confirmed, he would only be part of the delegation to support the team emotionally.
In the return clash at Matute on Wednesday, November 8th, Cueva will continue to be evaluated, but Larriera is clear that only those who are 100% fit will play in the final.
Will Christian Cueva continue at Alianza Lima?
Christian Cueva has a contract with Alianza Lima until the end of the season. For now, the blanquiazul team is focused on winning the tricampeonato.
