In that sense, the Intimo coach considered it necessary for his players' practices to be held at the Esther Grande de Bentin (Lurin) facilities this Wednesday and Thursday, from early hours. Friday was chosen as the day to finish the practices at the Alejandro Villanueva. After that, the team will be concentrated for the first clash against the cream team.

It's worth noting that Mauricio Larriera recovered players such as Cristian Benavente and Pablo Sabbag in the final stretch of the Clausura Tournament, so he will have them at his disposal for the first match between Alianza Lima and Universitario de Deportes, if the Uruguayan coach deems it necessary.

Pay attention to a detail, the Uruguayan coach made his debut with the blanquiazul jersey on August 13, in the 1-1 draw against Cusco FC in the imperial city. Since then, he has led the team in 11 matches and remains undefeated for now. In his last appearance, his team won 1-0 against Deportivo Garcilaso (in Cusco).

Alianza Lima is ready for the final

After Universitario de Deportes' victory -which qualified the students to the Play Offs-, Alianza Lima officially announced that the first clash will take place at the Monumental Stadium in Ate, this Saturday, November 4; while the rematch will take place at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium in Matute, next Wednesday, November 8.

It's worth mentioning that the blanquiazules obtained their pass to the final by winning the Apertura 2023 Tournament, where they proved to be a true 'machine'. They achieved 14 victories and four losses in 18 matches played. In this way, they obtained 42 points and took a seven-point lead over Sporting Cristal, the team that finished second. The Intimos were close to being three-time champions (they almost won the Clausura), but now they have the opportunity to achieve it against their classic rival.
