Raziel García signed for Carlos A.Mannucci after a spell at Deportes Tolima in Colombia. The national midfielder is consolidating himself in Mario Viera's team and recently impressed with a great goal against Sport Boys in the 5th round of the Torneo Apertura 2023.

Prior to facing Universitario, García gave an interview with Radio Ovación and talked about what the match at Estadio Mansiche de Trujillo will mean. He affirmed that they will go for the win: "Universitario is a big team, but we have a great squad. We can fight against anyone."
He also mentioned his debut in the local tournament with a goal against 'Misilera': "Thank God I scored. We start the Torneo Apertura well and I hope to continue bringing joy to the club's fans."
When asked about a return to the national team, he said: "A player always wants to be in the Peruvian National Team, but there is still a lot of work to do. I am sure that I have more to give to Carlos A. Mannucci and opportunities will come," he concluded.
