Peru’s national team lost by the minimum difference against France and said goodbye to Russia 2018. The national team suffered two defeats and practically has no chances of advancing to the round of 16.
After the match, Pedro Gallese, the goalkeeper of the national team, spoke with RPP Noticias and gave his impressions about the elimination from Russia 2018.
"I feel a tremendous pain. We had great aspirations and we wanted to have a good Cup, but we faced very tough opponents. We can only finish the tournament well and keep growing," said the goalkeeper to RPP Noticias.
He also confessed that the lack of experience in this type of tournaments took its toll against Denmark and France.
"I think that experience cost us. We faced tough opponents, but it was shown that we played a great football," said the player from Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz.
Finally, Pedro Gallese thanked the thousands of fans who were present at the Mordovia Arena and Ekaterimburgo Stadium, accompanying the national team in the matches.
"We will finish the tournament well and keep growing. I want to thank the people for the support they have given us, both in the hotel and in the stadium, they have been phenomenal," concluded the goalkeeper.
