Men's and women's delegations from Peru reach the final of Dota 2 at the Pan American eSports Championships [VIDEO]

'Lava' and 'Infamous Astra' made it to the final of the Pan American Esports Championship.

For the first time, eSports have a place in a Pan-American Championship. This time, in Santiago, Chile, several delegations have fought for a medal in games like eFootball 2024 or Dota 2. In fact, in this latter title, Peru is fighting to win the gold.

The Dota 2 female team has just reached the final after defeating the Argentinian squad. To reach this stage, 'Infamous Astra', the team that represents us, has had to overcome their counterparts from Colombia, Cuba, and Argentina.

Meanwhile, in the men's tournament, the 'Lava' team has also performed well and has just secured their spot in the final, where they will face the winner of the match between Ecuador and Argentina.

With about 120 competitors from 25 countries, eSports made their debut yesterday at the Pan-American Games 2023 with a parallel competition that will not count towards the Santiago 2023 medal tally. Peru is participating with the Dota 2 and eFootball selections, both male and female.

'Infamous Astra' is made up of Bambu, Azumi, Dae, Lovely, and Sky. The members of 'Lava', on the other hand, are DCMC, Faker, Wafer, Demon, and Kr1sSt. Both finals will take place on Saturday, November 4th.

In the eFootball 2024 championship, our representative is the player Alexander Rodriguez, winner of the in-person qualifying of the Peruvian PES League, who is participating in the competition.
