The world of football mourns his loss as he was the ultimate idol of the Argentine National Team and a champion of the 1986 World Cup. He passed away at 60 years old after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in the San Andrés neighborhood, near Nordelta, in the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires.
According to latest reports, the former footballer was in the company of his nephew and some close friends when he collapsed before noon at his house, prompting at least ten ambulances to arrive in an attempt to revive him. However, his life had already expired, taking him to eternity.
