Proud moment for Peru!

Peruvian wrestler Thalía Mallqui won the bronze medal in the 50kg category of women's freestyle wrestling at the Lima 2019 Pan American Games.

Despite her shoulder injury and losing her spot in the semifinals after being defeated by Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzmán, our athlete prevailed 3-1 against Ecuadorian Jacqueline Mollocana and secured the third place in the competition.

With this result, Thalía Mallqui brings the 24th medal to our country, the 11th being a bronze, along with 7 gold medals and 6 silver medals.
