Marcos Alonso celebrated his 27th birthday. The Madrid-born Chelsea defender celebrated surrounded by friends at an event where Cesc Fàbregas was notably absent, as the Catalan midfielder who shares the dressing room with Alonso pointed out. Fàbregas made it clear through Twitter that the Chelsea number 3 had not included him in the celebration.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes! Grazie a tutti per gli auguri!

"Thank you all for the birthday wishes!" wrote Alonso in a tweet where he appeared with a big smile next to a cake that read "Happy Birthday, Marcos". The same image was uploaded by the player to his Instagram account, where he received congratulations from celebrities such as his former teammate Diego Costa or the model Jon Kortajarena.
In response to all those invitations, Alonso also received a reply that was not a birthday wish. Cesc Fàbregas quoted Alonso's tweet to remind him that he had not been invited to the event: "Thanks for the invitation!".

To the already ironic phrase with which he made it clear that he was unaware of any birthday celebration, Fàbregas decided to add a doubtful emoji. Was it a joke or was the former Barça player truly upset?
