Peru wins two more gold medals in sailing at the Pan American Games
Caterina Romero (sunfish category) and Stefano Peschiera (ILCA 7) earned two new gold medals for Peru in the sailing championship, during their participation in the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023.
"Sailing guarantees a gold medal for TeamPeru with one race (Medal Race) left in sunfish. Caterina Romero will climb to the top of the podium, making this the first Pan American Gold for this sport. Historic!", celebrated the Peruvian team on Twitter.
With this triumph by the Peruvians, the national delegation has won 10 gold medals so far in the Pan American Games, surpassing the host country Chile, who only has 8 gold medals in the entire competition.
