First 5K 'Always Healthy Always Guerrero' Athletics Race
This Sunday, the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), with the support of Club Santos Laguna, organized the First 5K 'Always Healthy Always Guerrero' Athletics Race.
A total of 2,000 runners started at 8:00 am from Plaza Mayor and finished at Hospital de Especialidades 71. The overall winner was Cesar Perea Torres, with a time of 15:44, followed by David Venegas Esquivel, with a time of 15:46.
The categories were: Youth (10-19 years), Open (20-39 years), Open Plus (40-49 years), Veterans (50-59 years), and Veterans Plus (60 years and older). Separate categories were held for IMSS workers, which were: Open (18-39 years) and Master (40 years and older).
Cash prizes were awarded to the top three overall winners in each category. The winner received 2,000 pesos, the second place received 1,000 pesos, and the third place received 500 pesos. Certificates were given to the top three finishers in each category.
