About the 'Hincha israelita'
His name is David Chauca Quispe, but today all of Peru knows him as the 'Hincha israelita' and, just a few hours before the 2018 World Cup, the world is also getting to know this character who with his perseverance and unconditional loyalty to the blanquirroja has even captured the attention of FIFA.
In fact, just before the start of the World Cup, the highest governing body of football shared a promotional video through its official Twitter account where this peculiar fan appears wearing his red and white robe.
In addition to their return to the World Cup after 36 years, the Peruvian national team has attracted the attention of Russian citizens and the whole world because of their simplicity and joy which, together with unique expressions like those of the 'Hincha israelita', have earned the sympathy of the 'oso' people.
As proof of this, in the 33-second video you can also see 'El Fantasma', another unmistakable Peruvian fan who appears dancing a Russian dance wearing a ushanka, a traditional hat of the country.
