Peruvian National Team's Winning Streak
Pre-World Cup friendlies have excited Peruvian fans, as the national team has managed to win in both matches, which extends their impressive unbeaten streak of 12 games.
On November 15, 2016, the last defeat of the team was recorded against Brazil with a score of 2-0. But it was the draw in Maturin with Venezuela that marked the start of Peru's successful streak. The next game, they won 2-1 against Uruguay, then triumphed against Paraguay in Trujillo, and overwhelmed Jamaica in Arequipa.
Afterwards, Peru defeated Bolivia 2-1 at the Monumental stadium, and in Quito, they defeated Ecuador. Not even Messi could prevent a draw at the Bombonera. The match against Colombia was a nerve-wracking one, and in the play-offs, they drew without goals in New Zealand. After the victory against Croatia, Iceland arrived to increase the streak to 12 games undefeated for Ricardo Gareca's men, which we hope will continue to grow.
