The Peruvian National Team is counting down the hours until their highly anticipated match against Argentina at La Bombonera in Buenos Aires, for the penultimate round of the Russia 2018 Qualifiers. Both teams are fighting for the chance to reach the World Cup directly, or if they need to settle for a playoff spot in South America.
Given the natural nervousness among fans of the Peruvian National Team for the chance to reach the World Cup after many years, coach Ricardo Gareca sought to calm the situation with his statements. "We are prepared for whatever comes. Whatever the match is, whatever the context is," the 'Tiger' assured.
In addition, Ricardo Gareca opened up the possibility that Pedro Gallese and Jefferson Farfan may be available for the Thursday match against Argentina. Both players from the Peruvian National Team were doubtful due to their respective injuries.
