Good news for Alianza Lima. After confirming the finals against Universitario de Deportes for the national title - to be played on November 4 and 8 - Cristian Benavente gave some good news to the fans of the club from La Victoria, after confirming that he has recovered from the injury that was affecting him and that he is already training alongside his teammates; meaning, he would be available for Mauricio Larriera for the most important matches of the present Liga 1 Betsson season.
"I have been training with the group for over a week. I am available. God willing, I will be called up for the match," said the player from the blanquiazul team, in an interview with the media, after the team's routine training.
Cristian Benavente also commented on Alianza Lima's decision to start the series as the away team, which will allow them to define the key match in front of their fans, the match that could lead them to win the national championship for the third time, after the titles obtained in 2021 and 2022.
"I agree with closing at home. I don't know who the pressure is on, but I know that both teams want to win and we will give our all; I trust that the championship is within our reach," added the midfielder from the team that will compete for the national tricampionship against their classic rival.
Another player from Alianza Lima who showed optimism ahead of the matches against Universitario de Deportes was Pablo Sabbag, a player who is also fit to be considered for the finals, if Mauricio Larriera decides so:

After Universitario de Deportes' victory - which qualified the students for the Playoffs - Alianza Lima officially announced that the first match will take place at the Monumental Stadium in Ate, this Saturday, November 4; while the rematch will be held at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium in Matute, on Wednesday, November 8.
It should be noted that the blanquiazules secured their place in the final after winning the Apertura Tournament 2023, where they showed to be a true 'machine'. They obtained 14 victories and four defeats in 18 matches played. In this way, they obtained 42 points and took a 7-point lead over second place, Sporting Cristal. The intimes were close to winning the Clausura (almost won it), but now they have the opportunity to achieve it against their classic rival.
