After the pause due to the FIFA date, Liga 1 returns this weekend and four teams are competing for the Clausura Tournament title.
Four teams are competing to win the second title of the Liga 1 Betsson 2023: Universitario de Deportes, FBC Melgar, Sporting Cristal, and Alianza Lima. Cremas and rojinegros lead the table with 35 points, although in this matchday, the 'Dominó' team will rest. Likewise, the rimenses and íntimos have only two points less than the tournament leaders, while ADT, with fewer possibilities, is in fifth place with 32 points.
Another important battle is the one fought between Unión Comercio, Binacional, and possibly Sport Boys. The first two teams are neck and neck to avoid the last relegation place. Although the 'Misilera' has 38 points, five more than the San Martín team and three more than the Juliaca team, there is a pending issue related to Licenses that could alter the score.
Matchday 18 of the Clausura Tournament will take place from Friday, October 20 to Monday, October 23. Despite what is stipulated by the regulations, the matches of the teams that still have possibilities to win the championship will be played differently from the matches of those who are fighting for permanence. Academia Cantolao and Deportivo Municipal will play their matches without any chance of staying in the Liga 1 Betsson 2023.
