Mauricio was born on May 19, 1966, and he is currently 57 years old. He began his journalistic career at a young age. He was a television host for Panamericana Televisión's programs, "Panorama" and "Buenos Días, Perú."
Previously, he worked as a journalist for the newspaper La República, where he began working at the age of 20 in 1986, after completing his studies at the University of Piura.
He was also a producer and host of "A fuego lento" and later became the host of the now-defunct television program "20 Lucas," broadcasted by Latina, in which he invited prestigious chefs to cook with a budget of 20 soles.
