Through a written statement, the Peruvian Football Federation informed that the license of the edil team has been suspended for a period of 1 match of the League 1.

Deportivo Municipal received some tough news just before their match against Carlos Mannucci for the third round of the Clausura Tournament. It turns out that the Peruvian Football Federation has announced that the club's license has been suspended for one match. This would mean that the team led by Rafo Castillo will not play for the second time this season and it complicates their chances of remaining in the top category.

This was revealed in a statement by the highest authority of Peruvian football, in which they first mention that the 'Franja' (Deportivo Municipal) committed an infraction of article 88 of the Licensing Regulations. This results in a fine of three UIT.

"Club Deportivo Municipal has committed an infraction of article 88 of the Licensing Regulations. Apply a fine of three UIT to Club Deportivo Municipal for the commission of a fourth infraction of article 88 of the Licensing Regulations," it reads.

"Determine that Club Deportivo Municipal has committed an infraction of article 89 of the Licensing Regulations. Apply in accordance with the provisions of numeral, literal a, of article 106.1 of the Licensing Regulations, that is, suspension of the license for one match of the championship for the fifth infraction of article 89 of the Licensing Regulations," they added.

Deportivo Municipal's board did not hesitate to send a statement through their social media accounts to inform their fans about the sanction and their hopes that it will be resolved in their favor in the coming days.

"The FPF is fully aware of the chaotic situation inherited by the Board of Directors, which was not even informed by the previous administration. Despite this, we have made great efforts to solve the club's problems, trying to stabilize its management," the document reads.

Following this situation, the Liga 1 (Peruvian League) announced that the match between Deportivo Municipal and Carlos Mannucci has been suspended.
