Everything's broken! The novel of Christian Cueva and Al-Fateh of Saudi Arabia adds a new chapter. After the Peruvian national team's '10' terminated his contract, claiming a delay in the payment of his salary, the Saudi team responded and denied this argument. Faced with what happened, coach Georgios Donis decided to come forward to express himself and made a strong accusation against the former midfielder of Alianza Lima.
"Since Peru's failure for Qatar 2022, player Cueva has been causing problems in the club, and the decision to terminate the contract is the best for the club and the player," mentioned the Greek strategist in an interview with AlArabiya.
It's worth noting that the skillful midfielder is not the only one who decided to leave the institution, as his teammate Alex Valera also departed and, for now, both athletes are waiting to define their future.

As soon as the Peruvian's decision became known, Al-Fateh published a statement in which they denied being behind on payments and emphasized that the process will continue through the legal area.
"The club's management confirmed that the accusations of the duo are incorrect in every way and in detail, explaining that the players have received all their fees. Al-Fateh's administration emphasized that they will not hesitate to knock on all legal doors and use legitimate methods to take all measures that preserve their rights," they emphasized.
How much did Cueva earn at Al-Fateh?
According to the Salary Sports portal, the 30-year-old footballer receives an annual remuneration of €1,085,760 (€20,880 per week). This figure placed him above the other foreigners in the squad.
