Antonio Gonzales left Universitario de Deportes with a lot of pain and hoped to shine in Ayacucho FC, however, some injuries and the lack of regularity did not allow him to fit in the team of Edgar Ospina. Citing family reasons, the midfielder left the 'Zorros' team.

Through his Twitter account, 'Toñito' explained that he will not continue with Ayacucho FC by mutual agreement with the board: "I have decided to end my contract with Ayacucho FC. The reasons are purely personal, related to the family context, and I thank the coaching staff and management for their understanding. Thank you very much to the city of Ayacucho for so much love. There will soon be news about my future."

The local transfer window has already closed, and he will have to wait until the start of the Clausura to join another team in the First Division. However, there is an option to join the Second Division, which starts on April 22.

Antonio Gonzales is 29 years old and played for Universitario de Deportes for 10 seasons, winning 2 national titles (2009 and 2013). He played in the Copa America Argentina 2011 with the Peruvian national team.
