Lucca Mesinas achieved third place in the men's open category at the 2022 PASA Games. The Peruvian surfer had a great performance at the Pan-American Surfing Championship held in Panama.

Lucca won the bronze medal with a score of 13.37, giving Peru its fifth medal in the event held in Panama.

The Peruvian representative reached the semifinals and final along with Miguel Tudela, who finished in fourth place with a score of 12.03. It is worth mentioning that both surfers expressed mutual support as representatives of the Peruvian delegation.

The Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) announced the medal obtained by the surfer from Mancora in a post on its social media: "Our national representative Lucca Mesinas won the third place in the Men's Open category at the 2022 PASA Games being held in Panama."

The first place went to Brazilian surfer Mateus Sena with a score of 13.76, and the second position was taken by Panamanian surfer Jean González with 13.40 points.

In addition to the Men's Open category, Peru has won five medals at the 2022 PASA Games. Itzel Delgado won the gold medal in Stand Up Paddle Race, surpassing Brazilian surfer David Leao. Additionally, Vania Torres won the silver medal in Stand Up Paddle Surf.

Tamil Martimo finished in third place in the same category as Vania Torres. The fourth medal was obtained by Ana Camila Kaspar in Loangboard, and Mesinas won the final medal in the Men's Open category.
