Paolo Guerrero: TAS increased the Ecuadorian player José Ángulo's suspension to 4 years.

José Ángulo, who was defended by Spanish lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, was suspended for one year by the Disciplinary Committee of Conmebol, but the CAS overturned the initial sanction and substituted it with a four-year suspension.

The Ecuadorian José Ángulo was suspended for a year by Conmebol

The Ecuadorian José Ángulo was suspended by Conmebol a year ago for testing positive for cocaine during a Copa Libertadores match.

The disciplinary committee of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) punished him for a year in April 2016, a decision that FIFA appealed against.

The situation is very similar to that of Paolo Guerrero. The only difference is that the substance found in the body of the Peruvian striker was benzoylecgonine.

The TAS, based in Lausanne, ruled in favor of FIFA and revoked the initial sanction, replacing it with a four-year suspension starting on July 20, 2016.

Even José Ángulo was defended by Spanish lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, who is also responsible for defending the innocence of Paolo Guerrero.

The 'Depredador' (Predator), will first appeal to the FIFA Appeals Tribunal to seek a significant reduction in the penalty. If he does not find a favorable response, he will go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the same one that increased the sanction against the Ecuadorian Angulo.
