Liga de Quito will fulfill one of its postponed matches, this Wednesday they will face Universidad Católica, in the match corresponding to matchday 8 of the second phase of LigaPro.
After winning the CONMEBOL Sudamericana in an exciting final against Fortaleza, the team led by Luis Zubeldía returned on Sunday, where they celebrated with a big parade with all their fans in the streets of the Ecuadorian capital. Then on Monday, they had a rest day and returned to training on Tuesday to prepare for the match against 'chatolei'.
Currently, the 'King of Cups' is fourth with 18 points, 4 behind the leader (Barcelona), but the capital team has two games in hand; therefore, they have 6 points that if achieved, could become the future leader of the second stage.
Liga de Quito had a huge effort in the final on Saturday against Fortaleza, however, their only absences will be Leonel Quiñónez and Renato Ibarra due to injury. The rest of the squad is physically fit and they want to be ready to continue the fight for LigaPro.
The possible starting lineup that Luis Zubeldía would use for Wednesday's match would be the following: Alexander Domínguez; José Quintero, Ricardo Adé, Facundo Rodríguez, Bryan Ramírez; Mauricio Martínez, Ezequiel Piovi, Lisandro Alzugaray, Alexander Alvarado, Sebastián González, and Paolo Guerrero.
LDU Quito will face Universidad Católica on November 1st at 18:00 at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium.
