MEXICO -- Agustin Marchesin was clear and expressed that his successor should be Guillermo Ochoa. In his last press conference as a member of America, the goalkeeper who is going to Porto in Portugal, stated that the Mexican goalkeeper should be the one who arrives at the goal of the Eagles.

"Memo would be the icing on the cake. He is a goalkeeper who has achieved a lot and hopefully he takes the opportunity," he said alongside his coach Miguel Herrera.

He stated that it was a day of ups and downs and that he discovered a side he did not know he had where emotions took over him.

"Personally, I leave with happiness, sadness, and these days I have cried a lot. I did not know this side of me. Everything I have experienced is for the better. I leave with three titles and I have a lot of affection for Miguel," he said.

The South American goalkeeper assured that the Copa MX, Liga MX, and the Champion of Champions achieved by the institution are not enough to thank the capital team for the treatment they gave him.

"The three championships are not enough to repay everything that this club has given me. When you are hired, the goal is to win championships. One is always indebted to the club that hires him. I had incredible moments, enjoyed coming to practice, and I think I am fortunate. I am grateful to everyone who works in the club," he declared.

His gratitude went beyond, as he remembered that with the blue and cream team he was able to be with the Argentina National Team.

"It was the club that brought me back to the national team. It is impossible not to fall in love with this place. It is a place that no one ever wants to leave. The fans make you feel on every field that it is the biggest team. If you don't win a championship, it is a failure. Thank you to all the directors for giving me the opportunity to wear this jersey," he said.

'Marche' pointed out that it will be an important challenge to replace a historic goalkeeper like Iker Casillas at Porto, who paused his career due to a heart attack.

"They have left it difficult for me in all the clubs I have been in because I had to replace Oswaldo Sanchez, Moises Muñoz, and now Iker. It is a big club and has the obligation to win and be champions. It is a somewhat similar objective and I know that I am going to a big club," he said.
