Alianza Lima announced through their social media the hiring of Chilean José Letelier as the new coach of the women's team for the 2024 season, replacing Colombian Jhon Alber Ortiz.
Letelier, former goalkeeper of blanquiazul, returns as our new head coach. "For the achievement of new goals, professor!" said the institution.
Letelier's History with Alianza
His name is well received in Matute, as Letelier arrived at the Victoriano goal from Colo-Colo after the Fokker tragedy in the sea of Ventanilla that mourned Peruvian football.
As a coach, the Chilean won the Copa Libertadores championship in 2012. He also led the women's national team of his country to qualify for the 2019 World Cup.
