The Lobos BUAP goalkeeper has a new goalkeeper.
Jorge Villalpando will take the place of goalkeeper Lucero Álvarez, who will miss the rest of the Apertura 2017 after fracturing his cheekbone in the match against Querétaro last Saturday.
This was confirmed by coach Rafael Puente del Río, who indicated that Villalpando has been training with the team since Monday, but has not been presented because he comes from the disaffiliated Jaguares.
"The last thing the club told me is that he has not registered because of this issue with Jaguares, who are disaffiliated.
"They are in that administrative process, but I can say that it is a fact that Jorge is joining the team," confirmed the coach of La Jauría.
In addition, Puente del Río said that the goalkeeper had already decided to retire, so he ruled out immediate starting position.
"He had already decided to retire, so it's been a couple of months without football. Even though he was a guy who tried to exercise, it will never be the same no matter how much you work on your own," he said.
About the match that his team will play this Saturday against Pachuca, the coach assured that it will be a much more attractive match than the one between América and Pumas because both teams are looking for goals.
