On social media, the Potosino team also revealed that Leal had a meeting with his counterpart from América, André Jardine.
The coaching duel between both coaches marks the reunion of a student with his teacher, as both Leal and Jardine worked together for many years and even won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with the Brazilian national team, but they were also part of Atlético de San Luis' coaching staff together.
The Potosino team is currently in fifth place in the overall standings with 22 points, while América leads the tournament with 33 points.
