Get up, 'Bambino'!

Benevento Calcio, Gianluca Lapadula's team, suffered a 4-1 home defeat against Frosinone on matchday 12 of Italy's Serie B. The Peruvian national team striker started the game, but could not equalize or reverse the crushing result at Stadio Comunale Ciro Vigorito.

Although the national team attacker's team started the match enthusiastically and had an early chance in the opponent's area, it was the expulsion of defender Kamil Glik that weakened the giallorossi squad 25 minutes into the first half. From that moment on, the visitors' superiority was evident.

The first goal came at 35', thanks to Karlo Lulic, who scored a brace at 45+3'. Then, Gabriel Charpentier made it 3-0 at 50', while Emanuele Cicerelli sealed the victory at 75'. Although the hosts pulled one back at 78' with a goal from substitute Giuseppe Di Serio, it was not enough.

With that scoreline, the 'Witches' missed a great opportunity to move up the table in the Italian second division, as Lapadula's team dropped to sixth place with 19 points, five behind leaders Brescia. On the other hand, their rivals overtook Benevento and are currently in fourth place with 21 points.
