Raúl Ruidíaz has been playing abroad since 2016 and in Major League Soccer since 2018. In the MLS, he has been a champion and top scorer for the Seattle Sounders, he even faced the latest version of the Club World Cup, where unfortunately for his interests, he lost to Al Ahly in the quarterfinals.

Although he has a contract for one more season and is one of the most experienced and decisive players in the squad, the 'Pulga' made a post on social media where, apparently, he leaves the door open to his departure, with the aim of changing scenery for the year 2024.

"Everything has its end, nothing lasts forever. We have to remember that eternity does not exist...", is the lyrics of the song shared by the Peruvian forward along with a photograph in the Sounders' outfit.

In the current campaign for Ruidíaz, who also played for Universidad de Chile and Coritiba in Brazil, he scored 5 goals in a total of 19 matches played. This figure is far from previous seasons, where he did not score less than double digits. In his best season, he scored 17 goals in 27 matches (2021).

Many Universitario de Deportes fans dream of his return for the club's Centenary, which will be celebrated next year. Raúl made his debut with 'la crema' in 2009 and won the national championship with the student team twice. Will his long-awaited return happen in 2024?

For now, the 33-year-old forward is already thinking about his next challenge: FC Dallas in the first round of the 2023 MLS playoffs. This match will be played on Saturday, November 4th at 8:00 p.m. at the Toyota Stadium in Texas.
