What does this mean? It means that those who work as football agents cannot hold positions as club executives. This is the case with AGREF, the agency that represents several players in the 2023 Liga 1, in relation to Sporting Cristal.

"The FIFA Football Agents Regulations will come into full force on October 1st. The implementation includes the mandatory use of authorized agents and a limit on service fees and follows an extensive consultation process. The Court of Arbitration for Sport has confirmed the legality of the regulations. Approximately 4,500 licenses were issued to individuals who are now eligible to provide football agent services as of October 1st," the FIFA statement reads.

FIFA wants to avoid conflicts in the transfer market, ensuring that everything is done fairly and that positions are respected for professional growth.

"As part of the new regulations, potential disputes related to representation agreements entered into after October 1st will be handled by the Football Agents Chamber of the Arbitration Court, thus guaranteeing that any conflict related to football agent services will be resolved fairly and equitably for all participants in the international transfer system," the FIFA statement reads.

FIFA announces that its new regulations will come into effect on October 1st.

Will Sporting Cristal change owners due to the new FIFA regulations?

As it is known, the owners of Sporting Cristal, led by President Joel Raffo, represent the entity Innova Sports, who also manage the AGREF player agency.

This new regulation requires executives to clearly explain that there is no conflict of interest, in order to maintain their positions and ensure the continuity of the project promoted by Joel Raffo.

It is expected that in the coming days or hours, there will be an official statement from Sporting Cristal clarifying the real situation of the club following this FIFA regulation that comes into effect today, Sunday, October 1st.
