Global concern for the health of the 'King'. The Torcida Jovem del Santos, one of the main organized fan groups of the Brazilian club where Pelé became immortalized, called for a vigil for the three-time world champion's health in front of the hospital where the famous 82-year-old former football player has been hospitalized since last Tuesday.
"Whoever is king never loses their majesty. Torcida Jovem do Santos calls on our associates, Santos fans in general, and football lovers to attend a vigil on Sunday where we will show support and faith in Pelé's recovery," according to the statement released by the important fan group.

Santos fans, the club with which Pelé won 45 titles, including two Libertadores Cups and two Intercontinental Club Cups, intend to gather in front of the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo for about three hours.
The vigil was called at a time when the whole world is attentive to Pelé's health since the considered by many as the best footballer in the world was admitted to Albert Einstein for treatment of a respiratory infection, according to a medical bulletin released on Friday by the hospital.
Pelé has been going to the same hospital monthly for chemotherapy sessions to treat colon cancer diagnosed in September 2021, and his family members assure that the new hospitalization is routine.
It is worth noting that, in the bulletin released on Friday, the hospital confirmed the treatment for the respiratory infection but clarified that the patient shows "general improvement in his health condition" as a response to the antibiotics he is receiving.
