Peru continues to excel in the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games

In this occasion, national surfer María Fernanda Reyes defeated Brazilian Chloe Calmon in the longboard final and was crowned with the gold medal in this competition.

Reyes beat Calmon in score in a single-wave event. With this victory, the Peruvian team already has five gold medals in the sports event.

A DAY OF GOLD

In the morning, Benoit 'Piccolo' Clemente won the Pan American championship in longboard surfing, after defeating Chilean Rafael Cortez in the final round.

'Piccolo' Clemente triumphed on the Chilean beach of Punta de Lobos, obtaining a score of 12.16, surpassing Cortez who only scored 10.37.
