Arturo Vidal, out of control: the results of his exuberant celebration with Flamengo.

The Flamengo season ended last Saturday, with a 1-2 defeat against Avaí, at home, on the final day of the Brasileirao. Despite another loss for the ‘Mengao’, nothing stopped the celebration planned for winning the 2022 Copa Libertadores and the Copa de Brasil. Specifically, the celebrations had Arturo Vidal as the protagonist, who enjoyed it to the fullest.

During the early hours of Sunday, the ‘Fla’ squad took to the streets of Rio de Janeiro aboard a bus, with the trophies won this season. The fans, who filled the avenues, accompanied the scene with effusive chants.

At that moment, the Flamengo players took the opportunity to greet the fans and Arturo Vidal did not miss the opportunity. However, the ‘King’ showed the effects of the celebration and his appearance went viral: he climbed onto a railing with the help of some people, drank water, and, after a few seconds, due to fatigue and other factors, he fell exhausted into the arms of his companion.

Remember that during his time at ‘Mengao’, the 35-year-old midfielder showed that he is still going strong and participated in 15 appearances in the Brasileirao, scoring two goals; while he played six matches in the Copa de Brasil, in which he was champion; and five in the Libertadores, a tournament he also won.

Arturo Vidal and his future with Chile

“I think the time has come, Chile, to decide what is best for everyone,” Arturo Vidal enigmatically posted on Instagram. Similarly, he opened a survey on the mentioned social network, with the question “Should I retire or not from the national team?”, so that his followers can choose about his future as a member of his national team.

The results, which can still be modified, are being adjusted: 54% of fans voted for the ‘King’ not to retire, while 46% do want the midfielder to stop playing for the ‘Roja’. For now, the footballer has not spoken out on the subject again.
