The Ciudad de Cumaná stadium was the venue for the closing ceremony of the FIFA Football for Schools with the participation of children in an emotional festival.

The FIFA Football for Schools program closed this Wednesday at the Ciudad de Camaná stadium in Ayacucho after three days. This initiative aimed to unite football and education, motivating millions of children to acquire skills.

Before the closing ceremony, teachers from different regions of Peru applied their knowledge in an emotional school festival where students from the Mariscal Cáceres, Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, and San Ramón emblematic schools participated.

The teachers carried out dynamic circuits using the methodology of the FS4 application, which seeks to unite football with values so that sports becomes a social agent.

In that sense, former football player Maximiliano Rodríguez, who has been called up for the Argentine national team on several occasions, participated in the circuits and shared moments with the students. The festival was monitored by FIFA coordinators Alexandra Huete and Antonio Buenaño, who were in charge of this project.

The president of the Peruvian Football Federation, Agustín Lozano Saavedra, and the general secretary of the FPF, Jean Marcel Robilliard, were present at the ceremony. Likewise, the head of the Peruvian Institute of Sport, Máximo Pérez Zevallos, the coordinator of projects at the FIFA regional office, Sergio Palacios, among other authorities, also participated in the closing ceremony.

It is important to mention that Peru is one of the first countries to host this project. FIFA's goal is to impact this program in the 211 member associations.
