After learning about FIFA's sanction on Peru, the manager of selections of the FPF, Antonio García Pye, did not hesitate to refer to this matter and everything related to the logistics with the Peruvian National Team ahead of their match against Bolivia for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
FIFA determined that there were discriminatory acts in the stands of the National Stadium during the match against Chile in October. In response, the highest entity of football decided to impose an economic fine on the FPF and a limited capacity for Peru vs Bolivia.
In an interview with RPP, García Pye indicated that he does not have all the details regarding this FIFA sanction, especially with no response from MINSA regarding the increase in capacity for the stands of the National Stadium.
"I don't have the details regarding the sanction on the Peruvian National Team for discriminatory acts against Chile. We have no information about an increase in capacity or the final decision of MINSA, and now we have to evaluate what FIFA has established after the sanction. We have no information regarding that," stated Antonio García Pye.
We will see what percentage will correspond to Peru vs Bolivia, which will mark the last commitment of the year for the Bicolor in these Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.
