Rogerio Ceni ends his soccer career at 42
Aged 42, Rogerio Ceni has put an end to his career as a soccer player. The Brazilian, who played 1241 matches and scored 131 goals, including penalties and free kicks, is the goalkeeper who has scored the most goals in professional soccer history. He was a world champion with Brazil in the 2002 World Cup held in South Korea and Japan, and in total he won 26 titles: 10 domestic and 16 international, with Sao Paulo and the national team. He made his debut at the age of 17 (1990) wearing the Sinop FC jersey, but in 1993 he took over the goal of Sao Paulo.
