Robert Fernández is the technical secretary of Barcelona since the summer of 2015, when he took over from Andoni Zubizarreta. He has taken his time to see how his bets to rebuild the team have flourished, but in the end, his criteria have been very valid for Barcelona to maintain its style and winning cycle. Convinced of doing a good job (always as a team), the former Barcelona player's contract expires on June 30 and President Josep Maria Bartomeu has not yet made a move.

In two years in office, Robert had a budget of 310.5 million to invest in football players, six last season (Denis, 3.5; Digne, 16.5; Umtiti, 25; André Gomes, 35; and Alcácer, 30) and four for this season (Deulofeu, 12; Semedo, 30.5; Paulinho, 40; and the Frenchman Osumane Dembélé, 105).

Bartomeu is happy with what he sees on the field now. The team is functioning well and the choice of Ernesto Valverde by the technical secretary (backed by the president) is also a point in favor of Robert's management, who is closely following everything related to the winter transfer market. In addition, the relationship between Pep Segura, general sports manager, and Robert is more fluid than a few months ago, a situation that the president values in making a final decision.
