Celta equalizes against Barcelona
Celta was losing 3-0 in the first half and managed to equalize in the second half
Iago Aspas was the hero of Celta de Vigo as he was instrumental in the 3-3 draw against Barcelona. The forward scored a brace. His second goal came in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
"This team never gives up, as we had shown in previous matches. We had a very bad first half, always arriving late to the press. They scored three goals from the four chances they had, it was a very hard blow," admitted the attacker, who scored a brace in the second half.
Aspas acknowledged that he did not expect such a slump from Barcelona, and revealed that in the dressing room, Eduardo "Chacho" Coudet asked them not to give up.
"In the second half, the chances that didn't go in during the first half went in. They were superior in the first half but we made some tactical adjustments and the first goal gave us life," he commented.
