Just a few hours before the end of the civic day of the presidential elections in Ecuador 2023, we tell you what the process was for Ecuadorian citizens living abroad to cast their vote in the second round. How to vote abroad in the Ecuador Elections

Approximately, more than 13 million Ecuadorian citizens will attend the respective voting booths on Sunday, October 15 to cast their votes in order to choose the best for their nation.

However, if you are outside the country, don't worry, because here we will show you how to have the opportunity to vote without any major problems.

  • Go to the Ecuadorian consulate in your city of residence during the established hours. The enabled locations can be consulted at cne.gob.ec
  • Present a valid identification document to vote.
  • When you have the three ballots corresponding to the positions to be voted on October 15, you must mark only one option per ballot. If you mark more than one option or the entire ballot, the vote will be considered void.
  • After choosing the representatives, the ballots must be placed in the ballot box.

Who is winning the 2023 elections in Ecuador?

The National Electoral Council (CNE) will enable platforms to follow the vote count LIVE. This will start after the voting day ends at 17:00 hours. According to the electoral authority, the first results of the second round will be published from 18:30 hours.
