Líbero from Qatar pales every detail of the 2022 World Cup, and this time it was Ecuador's turn, which through journalist Milton Pérez referred to Chile for the request made to TAS regarding the Byron Castillo case.
The Teleamezonas member talked about the request made by the federations of Chile and Peru and sent a strong message to those in the south. He also lamented that the Peruvian National Team did not make it to the qualification.
"I don't think the Chileans would have liked to go to the World Cup by qualifying at a table," emphasized Milton Pérez, also speaking about the 'Blanquirroja'.
"Chile and Peru executives went to TAS, I don't think the people think that, I think you as Peruvians expected your team to go to the World Cup on their own merit, they deserved it, I was very sorry that they were left out, the process has been very good since the previous qualifiers," he added.
In addition, the journalist stated that Byron Castillo's nationality is Ecuadorian, because the evidence is on his side in the dispute that took place before the Arbitration Tribunal.
"Byron Castillo is Ecuadorian, simple. There are resolutions that place him like that. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but he is Ecuadorian... Of course, the absence of Byron Castillo hits, he is a great player, he is an important piece in the national team, but we have 26 players and the process started with many more. Ecuador has what it takes to defend itself," he stated.
