"I am very happy to have gone, because it was incredibly cool," said the right back, who expressed his happiness for the call-up and highlighted the football atmosphere in Peru with the National Team.

At another moment, Oliver Sonne thanked all the Peruvian fans for the warm welcome he received, although he did not hide his desire to have debuted against Chile or Argentina in the South American Qualifiers.

"The reception I had was absolutely crazy. Unfortunately, I wasn't in the team against Argentina, but watching the match and feeling the atmosphere was also absolutely fantastic," concluded the national defender.

WHY DIDN'T HE DEBUT WITH PERU?

Finally, the national defender explained why he could not debut against Chile and Argentina in the South American Qualifiers, stating that it was a plan that had been previously discussed with coach Juan Reynoso.

"It was part of the plan. I spoke with the national coach before traveling, and for me, it was important to experience and see everything because it was a cultural change," emphasized Oliver Sonne during an interview with a media outlet in Denmark.
