Ricardo Gareca responded this about Boca Juniors' interest in hiring him as Xeneize coach [PHOTOS].

From Argentina, after Boca Juniors' elimination in the Copa Libertadores, the name of Ricardo Gareca was mentioned as an option to replace Gustavo Alfaro as the Boca Juniors coach. The response took a while to come from the 'Tigre', who firmly refused to leave the national team and even listen to any proposal.

"From my side, there is no possibility of going anywhere else because I have a commitment with the national team until 2021, which automatically extends for one more year if we qualify for the World Cup. And with the particularity that the next one will be in December," said the 'Tigre'.

"I am committed to the national team and that's why I don't allow myself to listen to anyone. With all due respect to any institution that shows interest in hiring us. We are focused on the national team," he said.

This is not the first time that Ricardo Gareca has refused to consider the option of coaching a club or national team due to his contract with the national team. Remember that after the 2018 World Cup, he was rumored to take over his country's national team, but there was no agreement and he returned to Peru.
