WWE went through a black Tuesday a few weeks ago with the dismissal of dozens of employees, including wrestlers and wrestling legends. Although many were saved from this personnel cut, doubts and concerns still prevail among the staff.

During the past few hours, for example, new company layoffs have been made public. The most remarkable is that of Cain Velasquez.

Dave Meltzer, from Wrestling Observer Radio, has announced that the former UFC champion is no longer part of the company's workforce. He does not know if he was part of the large list of layoffs from the first wave or if he is part of a new one that will be made public soon.

Velasquez joined the world of wrestling after his retirement from the UFC and made his WWE debut on the premiere of SmackDown on FOX. There, he started a rivalry against Brock Lesnar, which culminated in a lackluster match in Saudi Arabia in October 2019. Due to his arm injury, he was put on hold for new plans. There were speculations about his return at Royal Rumble or WrestleMania, which never happened.

More specialized wrestling portals have confirmed this news, so it would be a matter of hours before WWE publishes this information on their official channels.
