WWE has always had a special predilection for numbers.
Until relatively recently, "The Streak" of The Undertaker was the most symbolic figure in the company, and subsequently, this achievement has been transferred to other particular cases. Goldberg maintained a legitimate undefeated streak until he fell to the same executioner as "The Deadman": Brock Lesnar. And now, it is Asuka who carries that aura, already surpassing "The Myth's" record.

Now another Superstar appears who could join this select group, although from the perspective of losses. Curt Hawkins tweeted today why we should already consider him a wrestling legend.
"Hit an historical 0-175 tonight. Win or lose I'll for sure be remembered in this business either way. Thinking about titling my book... Reverse Goldberg: The Curt Hawkins Story."

"Reached a historic 0-175 tonight. Win or lose I am sure that I will be remembered in this business in some way. I am thinking of titling my book... The Reverse of Goldberg: The Curt Hawkins Story."
Since his return to WWE in the summer of 2016, joining the blue brand, Hawkins has only achieved one televised victory: against Apollo Crews on November 8 of the same year. That is, this New Yorker has been defeated for 15 months, both on SmackDown Live and Raw, as well as in house shows or on Main Event (as was the case with his most recent loss to Heath Slater).
Cagematch already reported last July that Hawkins had achieved the longest consecutive losing streak in history when his count reached 100. But now, 75 later, those 173 (positive) of Goldberg have been surpassed, and a new feat is listed in his resume.

From the beginning, Hawkins' villain character lent itself to being defeated, although few could have imagined such a concatenation. Perhaps WWE lost control and finally wanted to continue with the dynamic because it is assumed that they must have a minimal story prepared due to the relative frequency with which he appears on television.
Will we see "The Prince of Queens" get his first victory in a year and a half at WrestleMania 34? I can't imagine a better redemption story for an "underdog," but it seems that the company does not hold him in such high regard. Despite his recent negative record, Hawkins was a WWE Tag Team Champion, along with Zack Ryder, back in 2008.
