"Fight for them" benefit function gets a new date
After the unpleasant events that occurred in recent days, the "Fight for them" charity event by Alberto el Patrón finally has a new date. Through a press conference held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, the renowned "Hercules Potosino" announced that he has finally scheduled a new venue and date for this event that will raise funds to support children affected by the earthquakes of September.
The "Fight for them" function will take place on January 20 at the Deportivo Morelos, in the Morelos neighborhood, in downtown Mexico City. Several wrestlers have joined the cause, including Dr. Wagner Jr., Sexy Dulce (formerly Sexy Star), Cibenético, and Carístico. Ticket sales will start on January 1 through the well-known online ticket sales system.
In addition to the wrestling function, there is also a planned autograph signing session with the invited gladiators, the sale of a commemorative shirt, a calendar of Alberto's own, and the auction of items specially donated for the cause, including an official Toluca Football Club shirt, another one from the Cruz Azul Football Club, and a complete wrestling set from Sin Cara.
As part of this meeting with the media, Alberto, along with his father Dos Caras, presented his association "Alberto El Patrón, Fight for Them A. C.", through which the resources collected as donations will be channeled permanently to support the affected children. Journalist Paola Rojas was chosen as the godmother of the association and she will have an active role in accepting to be the godmother of the children who lost their parents and who require the most support.
In a first stage of work, the association will help 56 children who lost their father or mother and 2 girls and a teenager who lost both parents in Mexico City during the earthquake. For a second stage, support for more children nationwide is planned.
*Note: It is worth clarifying that in the photo of the poster, Kenny Omega, Sabú, and Black Warrior appear; this is a mistake, as the announced wrestlers are Saru, Omega, and Warrior, Mexican independent scene wrestlers.
