As it could not be otherwise, WrestleMania always has great moments for history. And one of the ones that marked this year's edition was the marriage proposal that John Cena made to Nikki Bella after they defeated the married couple formed by The Miz and Maryse.
The reason why the 16-time World Champion chose this scenario for one of the most important questions of his life can be easy. Both love professional wrestling, and there is no better place in the world for two gladiators than the "Show of Shows". However, there is another reason for it to be like that.
During a recent interview on Good Morning Britain, John Cena explained it all.
"I did it because in a place like this she couldn't say no [joking]. The truth is that it was the best moment of my life. I was very nervous because the audience has the power, and we were in front of 75,000 people. I knew it was a great idea, but I was also worried that people would start shouting: 'No, no, no!'.
"I was trying to create a situation where she couldn't say no, with millions of viewers around the world. And everything went well! I couldn't think of a better place to do it. WWE has been my family for the past 15 years.
"The crazy thing about that moment was that before we had a match, in which people hated me. But it's a sign of respect that they realized that after the match came a moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives.
"We just want to give our best to our fans. The passion they have and we have is the same, and we have a great relationship. Once you get that, you never want to lose it".
